A New Music Incubator

We pair emerging musicians with top artists and filmmakers to expand the scope of what they can do. A free opportunity for all, we work to create an environment that fosters creativity and the joy of and art for art's sake. Oh, and we film the process, so you see every aspect of the process. Witness some of the most exciting ideas in music being born.

Why We do This

As producers of this series, Weathervane Music's mission is to create projects that support and enhance independent music. Over three years and 27 episodes, Shaking Through has involved some of the most exciting names in indie music--new and old--given the public educational insight into the art of making music, and provided professional development, skills and experiences for the great new artists of tomorrow.
